Huge, but Potentially Costly Win

Important come-from-behind victory for the Birds today. If they can pull one off in Atlanta next week, they will really be in great shape for a playoff push.
But that trip to Atlanta could be even more shorthanded. It looks like Brent Celek may have a major injury to his hand — some torn ligaments. He actually informed the Eagles medical staff that the pain was too great to catch the football.
And DeSean Jackson got his head smashed into the ground and suffered a concussion. Given the environment around the league right now, it seems unlikely he’ll be playing in a week.

I think its time to put Curtis on IR and bring in/or up a new WR (there are 2 currently on the practice squad) or TE. Doesn’t seem likely Jackson will be available on Sunday and while Celek might be able to play with a club on his hand and be used on run plays they Birds need another body to throw too. Maybe Alex Smith is a possible target (he was thrown too a few times today- all were incompletions though) but with all the injuries this team sustains during games they should have backup plans ready.
Amazing how this team went to having seemingly too many CBs and WRs over the summer and now they will struggle to fill out a 2 deep.
Go Birds!
