Eagles Week 12 Report — Wednesday

Tuesday evening saw some interesting events, in what is usually a quiet day of the week.
First, the Eagles signed CB Geoffrey Pope. To make room for Pope, CB Jack Ikegwuonu was cut. “Iguana” had his chance to make an impact on the roster this season — presumably healthy while corners in front of him were going down — but he couldn’t impress enough to ever see any action.
The Eagles still have another roster move to make — likely to be an offensive lineman added to the practice squad.
Also, Jon Runyan is back in the NFL! He signed a one-year deal with the San Diego Chargers. Good luck to you, Jon.
Finally, we want to give thanks to everyone who’s visited the site since we launched in February. The Eagles have the most passionate fans in the NFL, and we’re happy to be a very small part of Eagles nation.
Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone.

Sad to see Jack got cut. As my screen name indicates I am a Badger fan and was at Wisco when he was playing. He was a great corner in college. Too bad he couldn’t make it translate to the NFL. Maybe he’ll still make it with another team. Anyone see Brandon Gibson had a big day last Sunday? Maybe Jack will have a similar fate.
Glad to see Runyan will play this year! Also glad it was after the Birds played the Chargers. Would have been hard to see him on the other sideline.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone and go Birds!
Glad to see Jon back in the NFL. I knew he wouldn’t sign until a starting role opened up, and it finally did.
Also, sad to see Jack go, but he just wasn’t very good to be completely honest with you. The thing with Gibson is, he is still a rookie, but Jack has had a few years to come to play. I liked Gibson a lot and was on the bandwagon for him to make the team this off-season. Sad to see him go, but unless he turns into another Randy Moss or something, I’ll take Witherspoon.
