Eagles Week 8 Report — Tuesday

The DeSean Jackson injury wasn’t serious enough to even keep him out for the rest of the game last night. Reid declared it a foot sprain in the post-game.
Brian Westbrook has a concussion. How he progresses over the next few days will determine his availability for Sunday. Reid said he won’t put him at risk. It has become the norm to take at least a week off with a concussion, so we expect him to be out for Sunday. But you never know.

You gotta let Westbrook sit. McCoy needs to get the start. No need to risk Westy when McCoy is a serviceable replacement. We won’t lose too much with McCoy.
curious…whats mccoy averaging?3ish per carry???
I’m not sure 100%, but I believe it’s around 3.5/3.6.
I’m real excited to see him get a start. I think he’ll be the type of guy to get a 2 yard carry, 3 yards, 2 yards, 4 yards, 3 yards, Boom, 25-30 yards. He’s too shifty and small to not break one every so often.
You just have to hope Big Red keeps running the ball after all those 2, 3, and 4 yard runs in order to get to that 25 yard big play.
Yeah, that’s the problem. Reid just needs to run the ball period. I don’t care if Leonard Weaver gets carries too. I just want the ball on the ground a lot more.
yeah what happened in oakland should have opened a lot of eyes it seemed to effect the pass run ratio in dc.hopefully that continued.but facing nyg,we could miss westbrooks blitz pick up a lot.shady has got to improve there.
