An Eagles’ win today might actually increase the chances that McNabb misses week 3 — it would give the Eagles more leeway to let him get some rest.

Even though the Eagles lost (and lost bad) today I still say keep McNabb on the shelf next week. The way the D and special teams played today I don’t think having McNabb in there would have changed the outcome (maybe just the score differential). They had ok to bad field position pretty much all day on offense and the D was put into bad spots with bad special teams coverages, penalties, and Sav’s inconsistent punting. Kolb did fine most of the game (I’m giving him passes on the INTs because I don’t think they affected the outcome except for maybe the 1st one). If the Eagles can be patient and not jump the gun on McNabb this week I think it will be better for them down the road. Holding him out next week buys him two weeks to recover because of the bye week.
Bad loss by the Eagles but its hopefully just an abberation and not the norm for the defense. The good news of the day is the Patriots lost! Man I hate those guys. Now lets just hope the Cowboys get embrassed in their billion $ stadium tonight. GO EAGLES!
