Trade Before the Season
Paul Domowitch reports that the Jets and the Ravens are keeping an eye on the Eagles roster situation with regards to their wide receivers.
Obviously, the Eagles have some depth there, and the Jets and Ravens are very weak at the position.
Potential candidates for trade include Reggie Brown and Hank Baskett. The Eagles would not likely get a huge bounty in return, but a mid to late round draft pick seems reasonable here. Anything more than that would certainly be a coup for the team.
Their depth chart currently looks like:
DeSean Jackson
Kevin Curtis
Reggie Brown
Jeremy Maclin
Jason Avant
Hank Baskett
Brandon Gibson
That is the “official” depth chart. Our guess is that Avant is going to be getting more action than both Maclin and Brown, at least at this point. Gibson has been a pleasant surprise for the team and continues to get praise from the offensive coaches.
