As BadgerVMD said in the comments, Shawn Andrews has flown west to see a back specialist — the same one who performed surgery on him last year. Not encouraging news for a guy who made it seem like things were improving.
Brian Westbrook took part in live hitting today, rendering today’s earlier concerns here moot. It’s nice to have some good news, hopefully Westbrook’s body reacts well.
Omar Gaither left today’s practice with a minor knee sprain.
This just keeps getting grim for the Eagles. I highly doubt Andrews will be back at all this season and if he does it will not be for quite some time.
The right guard position will be filled by Stacy Andrews as long as he’s not still suffering from injury as well. But the position that Shawn Andrews was suppose to take over this season was right tackle and now the only one capable of starting in that position on the birds roster is Winston Justice.
While Justice has improved a lot since the “Massacre at the Meadowlands” game. I am still frightened at the aspect of him starting at right tackle in the regular season opener against Carolina.
Forget the Animal cruelty protesters who are trying to get the Eagles to get rid of Vick. Where are the “Resign Jon Runyan” protesters at?!?!?!?!!!!
