McNabb/Eagles Close to Deal

CSN’s Derrick Gunn (he’s been breaking lots of Eagles’ news lately) reports the organization and McNabb are close to a restructuring of the final two years of his current Eagles contract.
No details on dollars — but it appears clear that there will be no extension. This looks like the type of situation where the Eagles get to save money in the future by restructuring a deal so a lot of money goes into the 2009 cap figure (which still has lots of room).
