Glazer: Mangini Wants Edwards Back

This entry was posted on Mar 27 2009

Fox Sports has Jay Glazer out at the NFL owner’s meetings.  He comments here on the Browns quarterback situation, then moves on to a discussion of Braylon Edwards.  Glazer apparently spoke with Eric Mangini, who has stated he wants Edwards back.  On the other hand, he also states the the Browns front office is open to offers.

Glazer also claims to have spoken to Edwards, who stated he’d love to play for the Giants.  The Giants reportedly remain interested (and apparently are not interested in Anquan Boldin, despite the NY media obsession with the guy).

  1. Yeah….The Giants will make the move…But the Eagles…

  2. Yeah, I realize the Glazer report isn’t directly related to the Birds, but I figured it was worth noting anyway.

  3. let the “G-men” have Edwards. I don`t know exactly why green is so hype on this guy? He had one big year. When I think of him, I think of …. Antonio Bryant or Jerry Porter. Flashes in the pan. Edwards having a monster year had more to do with Derrick Andersons break-out year than anything else. That being said…. he would be an upgrade at the position. But….mangini is an asshole and almost legally retarded. He is fishing for a 1st round pick and talent. Birds won’t gamble on him. With the “Window Closing”, we need a sure thing.
