Eagles and Torry Holt Rumors Gaining Steam

We reported Friday the rumor floating about St Louis that not only was Torry Holt on the trading block, but the Rams were already mulling an offer from the Philadelphia Eagles that included wide receiver Reggie Brown and a draft pick.
Now that rumor appears to be gaining some momentum.
Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams are indeed shopping Holt, in addition to veteran tackle Orlando Pace.
The Rams behavior fits the profile of a team looking to trade veterans — they have been completely mute on the subject. With the team in the midst of a roster overhaul, it makes sense for them to try to acquire young talent for veterans that can’t help them in the long-term.
Keep and eye on this one, it appears it could be real.
