Wow Factor: Stacy Andrews Signs with the Eagles
![]() |
A “league source” tells Mike Florio at PFT that the Eagles have agreed to terms with tackle Stacy Andrews, formerly of the Bengals. This is a monumental signing for Philadelphia.
It could signal the end of the road for both Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan as Eagles. With Andrews penciled in at right tackle, and his brother Shawn next to him at guard, the rest of the Eagles starting line will likely have Todd Herremans (LT), Max Jean-Gilles (LG), and Jamaal Jackson involved.
Andrews is 27 years old and is coming off a devestating knee injury. PFT reports that the deal hinges on him passing a physical.
Injury aside, this gets the Eagles a lot younger at the tackle position pretty quickly. And it also means they don’t have to focus on an offensive tackle with either of their two first-round draft picks.
Once again, the Eagles make a huge splash in day one of free agency.
